NiM loot change coming in 4.1….this is not the loot change you are looking for

post by Eric Musco Nim loot Starting in Game Update 4.1 (with Chapter X) the final boss in a Nightmare Operation will now have a 100% chance to drop a 224 item. All other bosses in the Op will still have a chance to drop 224, but it is not guaranteed.

NiM UPDATE (1/25/16) http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8766035#edit8766035

  • Game Update 4.1 (Chapter X) – The final boss of each NiM Operation is guaranteed to drop 224. All other NiM bosses have a chance for 224.
  • Game Update 4.2 (Chapter XI) – All bosses in each NiM Operations are guaranteed to drop 224.

Eternal Championship has been pushed back to chapter XI in March http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8761848#edit8761848

Gear rewards discussion dev post The Eternal Championship provides an alternative way for solo players to get higher tiers of gear, albeit at a slower rate compared to Flashpoints/Operations. The highest rating gear will still be reserved for the more difficult group content as those require more coordination and effort from more players.

Tip of the Week:

Good Gamers Game Their Cooldowns

That is, a skilled player (like you!) will want to keep your best skills on Cooldown (thereby using them as much as possible) and your most important emergency abilities available when you need them. The SWTOR User Interface has a basic default display that shows your available skills as clickable and your non-available skills as not clickable with a draining graphic gradually returning your hotbar button back to a useable state. There is nothing wrong with this system, but the rich interface editor tools in this game allow you have a more precise measure of when your skills will be ready to use. This short video tooltip shows you how to enhance your visual Cooldown cues to maximize your efficiency (and maximizing efficiency will make your HK droid very happy!)
